DR. PAMELA'S STORY

Dr. Pamela Minyard graduated from an all-women's college with an drive to empower others. Her first step was to start her own African dance troupe, Kechanté Repertoire Ensemble, in Kinston, North Carolina, hoping to train young girls to be leaders through the disciplined art of dance. The program was so successful the Lenoir County School District hired her to teach over 500 children every week at the local elementary school. She has excelled in various business arenas including working in the mortgage banking and real estate investment industries, running an international import/export business, running a medical practice, consulting small business owners, and leadeing Tomorrow Leaders, Inc., a not-for-profit leadership and etiquette training program for girls of color. Although the industries she worked in have been dramatically different, the theme in her life has always been the same...empowering others to live their best life through leadership training, mentoring, education, and experiential learning.
LEADERSHIP AND ETIQUETTE
Leadership and etiquette is a lost art that Mrs. Minyard wishes to bring back to today's world...especially to today's youth.
Yes, academics are VERY important, but when you are interviewed over dinner and do not know which fork to use or where
to put the olive pit from the salad, leadership and etiquette makes a difference, it sets you apart. Education is important but
excelling in basic life skills will get you further in life. Research suggests technical skills only account for 15% of job and
career advancement, while 85% is based on people skills. (Research from Harvard University, The Carnegie Foundation,
and The Stanford Research Institute).
